Tana Ruegamer
Tana began her journey in dance at the age of 6 when she joined her first tap and jazz class, and she hasn’t looked back since. Her training expanded to include drill team, ballet, flamenco, and Latin ballroom, leading her to salsa in 2003. In 2010, she started training and performing at the Masacote School, eventually becoming a salsa dance coach and a member of MASA2, the school’s professional track program. Tana holds a certificate in Organizational Behavior from Harvard Extension School and designs movement and dance workshops for universities and businesses to foster creative employee engagement. With an MA in international education, she currently works and coaches salsa at Wellesley College and studies expressive therapy, focusing on how movement can enhance daily life. Dance remains a vital source of joy and peace for her, and she eagerly anticipates sharing its transformative power with more students.
